Hi friends, we’re here at Napa Flats on Riverside at King’s Landing.

And Napa Flats is a wood-fired kitchen. Neither of us have been here before. So it’s new. I know that I’m going to try the Pickle Chick Pizza. They say it’s an absolute must try. So if it’s a must try, you’ve got to try it. – So, right here you have the mimosa flat. We’re going to do a little pineapple juice, orange juice, pomegranate, and some cranberry. And we use whole champagne on top. – [Man] So that makes that. – Frank 75, we use a botanical gin it’s called 1904. And it only comes in the it comes in a blue bottle and then we add tonic or lemon juice to it, it turns purple. It’s so good. – It has a really good presentation to it. I will bring it out for you. – You have to step outside of your comfort zone with food. And so that is stepping outside the comfort zone. – No. – But it’s good. – Its very yum yum. – All right you can say you have pickle on your pizza. – Yeah. – Tastes so good. – That is delicious guys. You’ve got to grab these lamb chops. I know this sounds on but – It’s very tender, very tender. – We are with John, the owner of Napa Flats. – Howdy! – And we just found out this has been open for how long? – Six years. – Six years. – What’s your favorite dish? – Yeah what’s your favorite dish? – My favorite dish, either I like the lamb chops or the Bayou chicken. The lamb chops are really popular. We have the best, one of the best deals in town on lamb chops by the way. Just the way we season it with a little mint and Rosemary and fresh herbs, people love them. – Do you have anything special that you’d like to add that makes you guys unique? – Well, I mean we’re just, we’re a local guy. We’re just three guys who started the restaurant. So we’re, we’re a family and we’ve got really low turnover or so our employees are really loyal. We have a great time. That’s what this business is about people and great food, great drinks and energy right? – Yeah we’re excited to try it too. – Yeah. – We’re so excited. – So we’re eating the salted caramel gelato. So what exactly is gelato? – Difference between gelato and ice cream well gelato is Italian, but it’s made with more milk less cream. So it actually has less calories. – That’s a good thing to know. – And it’s spun slower so it doesn’t incorporate a lot of air. So it’s actually denser. So which makes flavors more intense. So it doesn’t take as much. – That’s amazing. So therefore you get the flavors and the frozen and everything else it’s actually a much more healthy product. – Oh, it’s awesome. – So the Italian, figured out. – And you guys make this in-house right? – In-house and believe it or not, we spent $64,000 on the equipment. – Oh God. – To produce such gelato. – Did you hear that? – Yeah. – $64,0000 – Yes, yes. – to make gelato. – Its amazing, its really good. – We’ve made it six years, we’ve only had to make a few minor repairs on the equipment. So it’s paid for itself by this point. – You need to check this out. – Yep, yep and you don’t even have to come in and dine use the walk right there and it’s like we have a little ice cream shop right in the front, so yeah. Yeah. We have the yeah, you just walk right in and order stuff. – So, it’s a great place for kids too – Yes that’d be great – Yes, that’s what they like ’cause the kids meal come with a free gelato. – Oh, they would love that.
